We are a paranormal research team located in Booneville, Arkansas. Over the last 5 years, we have had members come and go and even operated as a 2 man team. We pride ourselves on being a traditional ghost hunting team without all the high tech mumbo jumbo; simple equipment combined with sensitive people. After all, the most important tool of ghost hunting is YOU!
APRT is not ran by one person. We are all part of a team, therefore we all have a voice within the group. We are always looking for interested people to join us in our search for the other side!
Hamby Cemetery
On December 11th, 2007, we received permission from Shelly Lee and the county judge to adopt the Hamby Cemetery located in Booneville, Arkansas. On our first visit we were met with briar so thick you could not see 5 feet in front of you. Weeds and thorns were everywhere and over 6 feet tall.
Arklahoma Paranormal feels that no cemetery should ever look like this.
Hamby Cemetery contains 18 graves, mostly of the Hamby family. One of the bigger headstones belongs to the two Hamby brothers who were murdered in the late 1800's. Unfortunately, view of this grave is inhibited quite a lot due to the overgrowth of weeds and shrubs.
The cemetery was supposed to be kept up by Hamby relatives, but they have either all died or moved away.
Our goal is to clean this cemetery up and make an actual sign at its entrance reading, "Hamby Cemetery...Please be respectful of those who have gone before us."
We also had the Booneville democrat come out to the cemetery and talk with us about what we were doing. We made the paper in 2008!
